Middle Years Job Share - (17.5 hours per week, approximately 12-month term)

Location: Brockville Office

The Community Counsellor provides child and family focused assessment, short-term intervention and evaluation of treatment outcomes for children between six and twelve years of age with mental health difficulties. Evidence-informed practice modalities are provided throughout Leeds & Grenville primarily through in-home services and may include collaboration with education and health providers. Some evening work will be required.

Qualifications:
-Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a social sciences/human services discipline;
-Currently registered, or eligible for registration, in a relevant regulatory body;
-At least three years of full-time paid experience in child/youth, group and family counselling including child abuse, high-risk families, and crisis intervention;
-Experience in liaison work with schools and community agencies;
-Demonstrated assessment skills;
-Must have full use of a car and be able to transport clients; and
-Computer literate

Salary: $55,172 - $64,887 per annum (will be pro-rated to 0.5 FTE)
